Isochronic tones are rhythmic, pulsing sounds designed to influence brain activity. Each tone has a specific frequency that may offer unique benefits, such as improving mood, enhancing focus, or promoting relaxation and overall well-being.

You can enjoy Isochronic tones on their own or include them in your custom mix. However, due to the nature of these sounds, only one tone can be played at a time.

To explore isochronic tones in the BetterSleep app, navigate to the Sounds section and tap on the Brainwave tab.

Isochronic tones are outlined in yellow.

Effects and particularities of each tone

Dreamless Sleep | Delta 2.5Hz
The delta wave is of the lowest frequency. It helps you reach the deepest portion of your sleep cycle.

Dreams | Low theta 4Hz

The low theta wave guides your brain to experience dreams while you sleep.

Deep Meditation | Mid theta 5Hz

The mid theta wave enables you to fall into a state of meditation which will allow you to let go of stress and relax into sleep.

Pre-Sleep | Low alpha 8Hz

The low alpha wave mimics your natural pre-sleep and pre-wake brainwave frequency. It allows for smooth transitions in and out of sleep.

Relaxation | Mid alpha 10Hz

The mid alpha wave helps to calm and relax your mind after you have been active.

Focus | Beta 20Hz

The beta wave is used when active focus is needed. Can be used to help you stay focused and solve difficult problems.
