How do I manage or cancel my trial/subscription?

When you signed up for your trial or subscription, you received a confirmation email with details about your plan and how to manage or cancel it. If you can’t find it, please check your junk or spam folder, as it often includes guidance specific to your subscription type.


TL;DR

How you cancel your subscription depends on where you signed up and how you paid:

  • Apple-paid subscriptions must be canceled through Apple

  • Web / Stripe subscriptions are canceled on BetterSleep.com

  • Android (Google Play) subscriptions are canceled through Google Play

Your confirmation email can help you identify the correct method.


Where subscriptions can be purchased

BetterSleep subscriptions can be initiated through:

  • Apple App Store (iOS) or iOS in-app → web checkout (Web / Stripe)

  • Google Play Store (Android)

  • BetterSleep.com (Web / Stripe)

Subscriptions can only be managed or canceled through the same platform where they were purchased.


Canceling from the BetterSleep app (iOS only)

If you’re using iOS and logged into the app, you can start the cancellation process directly in BetterSleep:

  1. Open the BetterSleep app

  2. Go to My Library

  3. Tap the Profile icon (top right)

  4. Scroll to Account

  5. Next to Subscription, tap Manage

  6. Tap Manage subscription

  7. Tap Cancel

You’ll then be redirected based on how you paid to complete the cancellation:

  • Apple-paid subscription → Apple App Store

  • Web / Stripe subscription → BetterSleep.com (login required)


Important notes about iOS (Apple) subscriptions

Apple (iOS) subscriptions

Subscriptions paid through Apple are fully managed by Apple. Our Support Team doesn’t have access to cancel them on your behalf.

Cancel directly through Apple

  1. Open the iOS Settings app

  2. Tap your name

  3. Tap Subscriptions

  4. Select BetterSleep

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

If there’s no Cancel button or you see an expiration message, the subscription is already canceled.


Web / Stripe subscriptions

If you subscribed on BetterSleep.com (including iOS subscriptions paid on web/Stripe):

  • Your subscription will not appear in Apple or Google subscriptions since it's neither of those two.

  • It is managed only on BetterSleep.com

  • It can be canceled via the website , or through the iOS in-app flow above

Cancel on BetterSleep.com

  1. Log in to your account

  2. Go to Profile

  3. Select Settings

  4. Click Account

  5. Choose Manage Subscription

  6. Click Cancel Subscription

You can also refer to your confirmation email for web-specific instructions.


Android subscriptions

⚠️ The in-app cancellation flow is not available on Android.

  • Google Play subscription → Cancel via Google Play

  • Web / Stripe subscription → Cancel via BetterSleep.com

Cancel via Google Play

  1. Open the Google Play Store app

  2. Make sure you’re signed into the correct Google account

  3. Tap Menu → Subscriptions

  4. Select BetterSleep

  5. Tap Cancel subscription

Can’t find your subscription?

If you’re having trouble locating your subscription:

  • Check your confirmation email (including junk/spam)

  • Make sure you’re logged into the same email/account used at signup
    (If you didn’t register an email, you can do so now and reset your password.)

  • Apple-paid subscriptions appear only in iOS Subscriptions

  • Google Play subscriptions appear only in Google Play

  • Web subscriptions appear only on BetterSleep.com

Refunds, renewals, and Premium access

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24–48 hours before the end of your trial or billing period, per the terms shown at signup.

  • Canceling stops future charges, but does not reverse charges already processed.

  • If you cancel before the end of your trial or billing period, you’ll keep Premium access until the end of that period.

  • Refunds if applicable or eligible are handled by the platform where you purchased:

    • Apple App Store → Apple’s refund policy

    • Google Play Store → Google’s refund policy

    • Web (Stripe) → BetterSleep’s refund policy terms of service.
